Steele
McGonegal, a native Virginian,
and proud Virginia Tech Hokie,
has been a professional actor
for 11 years. Highlights of
his acting career include principal
characters in "A woman
Named Jackie" and "Vanishing
Son", both of which are
mini-series filmed here in Virginia.
Additionally, Steele has acted
opposite Pam Greer in a commercial
for her television show on Cinemax,
"Linc's". Big screen
credits include "The Jackal"
with Sidney Portier, Bruce Willis,
and Richard Geer, though Steele's
role was a small one made even
smaller by the film's editor.
Go figure. Roles in "The
FBI Files" and "The
Prosecutors" are also among
Steele's credits. He awaits
word to begin filming "The
Operatives" in which he
has a leading role as a former
Special Forces Desert Storm
Vet who is a leader of a covert
team of operatives. A schedule
has yet to be set for filming
this television pilot.
Steele works as a sales representative
for Aventis Pharmaceuticals
as his full time career. He
is also a Rifle Platoon Leader
for Alpha Company First Brigade,
first Battalion, 116th Regiment
29th Infantry Division (Virginia
Army National Guard). He has
been with the Virginia Guard
for over 15 years. Prior to
his career in the Pharmaceutical
industry, Steele taught English,
theatre, and journalism for
seven years at Maury High School
in Norfolk, Virginia.
Steele and his wife, Terra,
have one child, a daughter.
The family lives in Virginia
Beach. In the free time that
he has, Steele enjoys rock climbing
and practicing martial arts.
He is also a big fan of playing
with his daughter, and spending
time with his wife.
