On June 9th, Destination Tomorrow won a Golden Reel Award in the category "Organizational News".

Since 1978, The Golden Reel celebrates excellence in media communications. Golden Reel honors have been highly coveted and recognized internationally for their prestige. The name stands for creativity and advancement in technical applications.

On The Runway

program 3 imageThe Advanced Landing Dynamics Facility or ALDF has been in operation since the 1960's. Besides developing grooved pavement for safer highways, ALDF tests aircraft wheels, tires, and advanced landing systems. Research gathered at ALDF helps develop safer roads, tires, runways, and pedestrian walkways. Paula Vaiden spoke with Bob Daughtery of NASA Langley Research Center to find out more.
