On June 9th, Destination Tomorrow won a Golden Reel Award in the category "Organizational News".

Since 1978, The Golden Reel celebrates excellence in media communications. Golden Reel honors have been highly coveted and recognized internationally for their prestige. The name stands for creativity and advancement in technical applications.

How It Works

Although air travel is almost always the fastest means of travel, many would like it to become even faster. Although the technology exists for aircraft to fly at speeds faster than the speed of sound, sonic booms limit this capability. To help lessen the impact of these booms, NASA researchers are attempting to find way to help aircraft move faster than the speed of sound without causing disruptions on the ground.
