On June 9th, Destination Tomorrow won a Golden Reel Award in the category "Organizational News".

Since 1978, The Golden Reel celebrates excellence in media communications. Golden Reel honors have been highly coveted and recognized internationally for their prestige. The name stands for creativity and advancement in technical applications.

program 2 imageToday many planes break the sound barrier with relative ease. It wasn't too many years ago when the sound barrier was just that, a seemingly impenetrable invisible barrier. In fact, many aerodynamisists thought that the sound barrier may never be broken. That was until one man named Richard Whitcomb developed a theory called Area Rule that enabled efficient supersonic flight to become a reality. Destination tomorrow spoke with Mr. Whitcomb about his incredible achievements.
