On June 9th, Destination Tomorrow won a Golden Reel Award in the category "Organizational News".

Since 1978, The Golden Reel celebrates excellence in media communications. Golden Reel honors have been highly coveted and recognized internationally for their prestige. The name stands for creativity and advancement in technical applications.

Behind the Scenes

In addition to storing food aboard the spacecraft, many at NASA believe that growing food in space or on planetary surfaces will need to be perfected to help feed astronauts on long missions. To help find out what’s in store for future food technologies Jennifer Pulley spoke with Dr. Michelle Perchonok at NASA Johnson to find out more.
